About Me

Q & A: Getting to Know Me

  1. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
My mother once told me, “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.” It made me realize that my mind is a powerful tool; if I wanted to accomplish great things, I needed to believe in myself to make my dreams a reality.
  2. What’s your favorite book?
My favorite book will always be the first book that ignited my love for reading, “The Graveyard Book” by Neil Gaiman.
  3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go first?
I’d have to say Greece. I have a deep, personal connection with the Mamma Mia franchise, and it has always been my dream to go visit where the movies were filmed. Not to mention I could go for educational purposes to learn more about greek mythology, as well as photograph all the beautiful architecture. The list goes on and on!
  4. What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Traveling has always been my number one goal in my life. I’ve never been outside the United States, and I have so many countries I’d like to visit. Scotland, Ireland, England, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, France, Egypt, Italy are at the top of my list!
  5. What are the best qualities you’ve inherited from your family?
Creativity, passion, empathy, grit, determination and honesty.

Q & A: This or That

  1. Tea or coffee?
Technically both, but I prefer tea.
  2. Dog or cat person?
Unfortunately, I’m allergic to cats and dogs. However, I’m less allergic to dogs — so dogs!
  3. Sunrise or sunset?
    Sunrise!
  4. Live where it always snows or where it’s always about 90 degrees?
Yeah, I’ll take snow ANY day of the week! I’m not a hot weather type of woman.
  5. Introvert or extrovert?
Definitely introverted, but my job usually requires me to be more extroverted. Some may say that makes me an ambivert, but I’m most likely an introvert that can switch to extrovert when I need to.
  6. Podcasts or music while driving?
    Neither! I prefer audiobooks.
  7. Early bird or night owl?
I’m the “grandma” of my friend group. I like it when my bedtime is 9PM, so I can get up early the next day. So, I’d have to say I’m more of an early bird.
  8. Live in the heart of a big city or live in a cottage in the middle of the woods?
I’d love to live in a cottage in the middle of a forest! That’s literally a personal dream of mine.
  9. Movies or TV series?
For editing purposes, movies. For enjoyment purposes, TV series.
  10. Physical book, e-books, or audiobooks?
I love the feel of physical books, the extensive library in my kindle, and the voice actors in audiobooks. I can’t make myself choose between them. It’s too hard.
  11. Film or digital photography?
Film! From the moment I stepped into a darkroom, I’ve been obsessed with the process of developing the film, processing the negatives, enlarging the photos I choose, and watching the images come to life in the different chemical baths… It’s very therapeutic to me. Digital is great and convenient — it’s always a good option. It’s just that film… has a different level of beauty and elegance to it. It’s breathtaking.
  12. Fantasy or non-fiction?
Fantasy all the way! I’d rather immerse myself into a world with romance, mystery, mystical creatures, magic and epic battle scenes. I mean, who wouldn’t?
